Ultra Filtration
The Ultra Filtration (UF) process is the membrane filtration process that was developed specifically for large scale water treatment schemes. Ultra filtration membrane has become a widely adopted technology for treating ground water and surface water. WWTP effluent and seawater for the production of a multitude of water grades for the industry and municipalities alike.
The common denominators within this water sources are the fact that suspended solids and turbiditya are mostly relative low, i.e., typically below 50 mg/l, possibly with some occasional excursions. For these types of applications, UF membrane is the optimal treatment whenever removal of solids, bacteria or even color is required. Ultra Filtration (UF) membran process can be defined as between Nano Filtration (NF) and Micro Filtration (MF).
